Pretzel Sparklers
These are very easy to make and very tasty to eat. You will need pretzel rods, white or dark chocolate, and red, white and blue sprinkles. Just simply dip the pretzels into the melted chocolate and then add sprinkles. It may work best to dip only half way and then place the pretzels in a shallow cup to dry.

Star-Spangled Wavers (idea from Family Fun)
You will need:
red, white and blue felt
red, white and blue ribbons
tacky glue
3/8 inch dowel
Simply cut out pairs of stars. Use the glue to affix the stars together. Insert and glue a dowel between them. You can add smaller stars on top of the one that is glued to the dowel. Allow to dry. Then tie the ribbons around the dowel just below the felt stars.

Patriotic Kabobs
You will need:
lollipop sticks or skewers
strawberries
blueberries
marshmallows (large)
Put the berries and marshmallows on the sticks for a festive kabob. Lollipop sticks can be purchased at a craft store and are safer for the little ones.
Rice Krispies (from the Rice Krispies site)
Make a batch of rice krispies (follow directions on cereal box). Using buttered spatula press krispies into a 15 1/2 X 10 X 1 inch pan. While warm add red, white and blue sprinkles to the top of the rice krispies. See photo. Cut out the rice krispies using a star-shaped cookie cutter.
